I called up an old customer and asked if he wanted to upgrade to the latest ZW3D. He works with a variety of companies including Boeing and need to keep the translators up to date. He get the documents as Catia PMI.
He said business was slow and could not afford it.
I thought how many out there are using Autodesk, Solidworks, NX, Creo, Catia and others and are in the same boat! No access to your precious engineering data. This is part of the true cost of a subscription.
Most of our product retail price is not much more than the subscription! Now if you have multiple seats you would want to keep one seat, until you wean yourself off the software.
